James obtained his BS in Electrical Engineering Technology in 1988 from the College of Technology in Utica NY. He has more than 15 years engineering experience in industrial controls and plant automation, including over five years at ethanol facilities throughout the United States.During this time James developed many skills essential for reliable system design as well as key troubleshooting skills. James is a NYSERDA recognized installer as well as NABCEP certified.
In 1999 James founded ISI. Two years later in 2001, he shifted the company's entire focus to solar photovoltaic systems. James believes strongly that solar energy is only one of the many renewable energy technologies that should be utilized. He has put his philosophy into action as company vehicles include a hybrid, and a diesel truck modified to run on waste vegetable oil.
James is a strong advocate of fuel cell technology and believes that fuel cell technology combined with PV technology will one day address a substantial percentage of the world's energy needs.
Glenn E. Maier has over 25 years experience in the construction industry, in all phases of residential and commercial construction , project management and customer service. A graduate of Oswego State University with a degree in Technology Education, he is a board member and Vice President of the Rockland Builders and Remodelers Association.
Glenn is in his element outdoors, ideally climbing, hiking or mountaineering. He has a deep appreciation of nature and its effect on all of us, and says that "this respect is what drives me to do better...to do better for my family, for all of us".

Kai Nybro received his B.A. from BinghamtonUniversity in 2003.Since graduating, he has traveled around the country pursuing his interest in woodworking; from building scale models in an architect’s office in New York, to building wooden boats in Maine, to tree houses in WashingtonState.
Despite his love for woodworking, Kai wanted to work somewhere he could do something responsible for the environment in a small company which would allow him to do design work as well as onsite work.As a Project Engineer, Kai is involved in all aspects of project implementation from initial site evaluation to complete system design and installation.
Franchesca Albert graduated from the financial institute in St. Petersburg Russia with a degree in statistics and Financial Analysis. She also holds a degree in Business Management from Haifa University in Israel.
Franchesca handles all financial aspects of the company as well as assisting Sherri in the office. Born in the Ukraine, she was only 70 kilometers from Chernobyl when the event occurred. She knows first hand how nuclear power can present safety issues if not treated with the ultimate respect. Franchesca is fluent in several languages including Russian and Hebrew.
Sherri Paul brings years of experience to her position of Operations Manager at ISI Solar. Before coming to ISI Solar, Sherri held leadership positions in sales, marketing, and customer service with several ompanies. She was Operations Supervisor at MCI-WorldCom, and ran the Consumer Affairs Department for Grolier Publishing.
Her proven customer service, sales, marketing and management experience give her significant expertise in addressing the wide-ranging needs of ISI Solar clients. Sherri's is often one of the the first voices you'll hear when calling ISI Solar. You immediately get a sense of her commitment and focus, as well and her positive friendly attitude. Sherri recognizes that customer service is the essential ingredient to any successful company.
Heather Lothrop is currently a junior in college. She graduated with an associates degree from Rockland Community College in Liberal Arts Humanities and Social Sciences in the honors program. Currently she is attending Fordam University to continue working towards her bachelors degree in English.
Heather believes that conserving resources and protecting the environment are essential to make the world a better place. She feels privileged to be able to work for a company that makes great strides to accomplish this everyday.
Elie Schecter received his BA from Middlebury College in 2003. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Dominica from 2004-2006, where he directed projects in organic agriculture and off-grid photovoltaics, Elie returned home to New York to pursue all things solar. He has done solar energy policy work for the Natural Resources Defense Council and programming work for Solar One in New York City. Elie has also worked as a volunteer for the Solar Electric Light Fund, installing PV systems in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans as part of a post-Hurricane Katrina Restoration Project.
As a Project Engineer, Elie is involved in all aspects of project implementation from initial site evaluation to complete system design and installation. He also drives a Volkswagen Golf that he converted to run on waste vegetable oil. His desk is a mess.
Artie Meade joined ISI Solar in may 2009. Prior to that he was a full time student at CUNY's The City College of New York where he plans to one day complete his bachelors in sustainability. Artie has construction experience in both large and small, commercial and residential construction projects. He worked with various companies in New York and Florida as an electrician. He is currently seeking his NABCEP certification as a photovoltaic installer. He has other skills as well, such as break-dancing and night vision. He is currently a brown belt two-strip in interpretive ribbon dancing....peace.
Peter started working with ISI-Solar in November of 2006, and since been on staff in a part-time capacity. After completing an intensive Introduction to Photovoltaics course with SEI (Solar Energy International) in 2006, and along with a modicum of construction skills, Peter jumped right and started his career in the Renewable Energy field. Since then he has contributed in a unique role to the crew and looks forward to many more years of the same.
Working full-time in the Telecommunications industry as a Technical Analyst, specializing in PBX and Call-Center implementation and maintenance, Peter has been in his primary career and occupation for almost 14 years.
Peter's dedication and belief in Renewable Energy as a viable and indisputable solution for our future is the driving force which led him to be a part of the ISI-Solar Family. When asked what his favorite part of working as a Solar Installer is, he says the following, "It's a great feeling to be part of the solution. And there's no match to working on a Team where everyone is focused on the same goal, especially one as important as delivering residential and commercial Solar Energy".
